What is Drop-in child care?
It is a pay-by-the-hour, flexible childcare service available to busy parents!
KidTime Drop-In Center is an on demand childcare center located near Charlotte, NC. We have filled the gap in the traditional childcare setting for over 14 years by providing safe, dependable, flexible hourly childcare with no long term commitments.
Whether you are looking for part-time, occasional care or if you’re simply in need “me time” for a few hours from time to time, we offer highly competitive package rate plans for both single and multi childcare.
Each member of our staff are professionally trained, required to pass a background check and are CPR Certified. Our mission at KidTime Drop-In Childcare is to provide a fun, safe and clean environment where children from 18 months to 12 years old love to visit. Enroll your child or children today!

What do i do first?
When can I bring my kids to play?
We are open 6 days a week! No appointment is necessary. For our hours of operation, please click here.
What should i bring?
If your child is still in diapers we ask you to supply us with disposable diapers and wipes. Please also include any special instructions for your child. We have a dedicated area next to the changing station for your diaper bag. Please supply us with at least 5 extra diapers and wipes for your child’s visit so we can change appropriately. Our staff does a diaper check and change on a schedule throughout the day, in addition to extra changes when needed. If your child is potty training please also bring extra clothes for your child. Everything needs to be labeled with your child’s name. Please help us keep your family with your belongings. KidTime Drop-In Center will not be responsible for clothing or other personal items brought to the center.
Each child will have a “cubby” in the lobby for shoes. With the young children, we do encourage a soft ‘lovie’ or small ‘blankie’ for comfort while at KidTime. For safety reasons we DO NOT ALLOW ANY OUTSIDE TOYS in our facility, please understand we have children here as young as 18 months. All of our play toys are safe for all ages!
KidTime offers healthy snacks at no additional charge. You may bring snacks or food for your children; however, each child must be able to feed themselves any snacks or food products. KidTime is a NUT FREE facility with the exception of sun butter.
What is the process to drop off my kids?
Parents, please do not escort your child into the play space. If you want to tour we are more than happy to do so, but our insurance prohibits parents from being inside the play area without a KidTime staff member.
PICK UP: During check out and payment you will be given the exact amount of minutes used on the visit. A KidTime staff member will buzz your child through the secure door. Only listed authorized persons with photo on file (or photo I.D.) will be allowed to pick up/drop off your child. If someone other than the parent or guardian were picking up the child he/she would be released to the people listed in the registration only after photo I.D. has been seen. In situations of custody agreements, the center will follow the advice of court-ordered documents.

While reservations are not required, they are recommended on Fridays and Saturdays evenings. We accept children on a first-come, first-serve basis until we reach our facility’s permitted capacity. All reservation will be confirmed via email within 24 hours.
